Free Chlorine Conversion
February 28, 2020
Starting on the 3rd of March 2020 and running through the 31st of March 2020 North Texas Municipal Water District will be conducting their annual temporary free chlorine conversion. This routine maintenance is necessary to remove the naturally occuring biofilm in the water distribution system. During the maintenance period, our water will have a more pronounced chlorine taste and smell. The water is safe to drink.
In preparation/ response to the free chlorine conversion Nevada Special Utility District will be increasing our water quality monitoring, reporting and system wide flushing.
